Our approach is unique, as we give an opportunity to volunteer time and expertise and at the same time an experience to learn more about oneself and the world around one.

VolunTrainee Opportunities

Opportunities are designed to give the VolunTrainees the best learning experience and the environment to share and implement their innovative ideas and solutions.

How Much Does VolunTraining Cost?

We offer a four-tiered approach that gives VolunTrainees the opportunity to select the option that suits them best. The real bonus is that the money goes directly to the project’s operations and gives rehabilitation opportunities for the beneficiaries.

Our approach

The core focus is the VolunTrainees’ choice of work at Streetscapes.

There are 10 identified areas of work opportunity in Streetscapes, of which VolunTrainees select three. The primary work opportunity is the one that forms the core work of the VolunTrainee. The additional two include the facilitation of sessions with the beneficiaries and the other is working in the garden. The late football player and coach Vince Lombardi said, ‘The challenge of every team is to build a feeling of oneness, of dependence on one another. Because the question is not how well each person performs, but how well they work together.’ The Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace Programme is made up of interactive sessions where VolunTrainees can explore the realities and demands of the workplace and how to prepare yourself in order to thrive. The Streetscapes work experience is the real deal.

Greater insights into Africa: the scramble for Africa continues.

The scramble for Africa started centuries ago and continues today. Gaining greater insights helps VolunTrainees appreciate the journey and empathise with what people are grappling with.

Enviro-Cultural Experiences in and around Cape Town.

Not the usual tourist experience, but rather organic and unique activities that allow for memorable moments leading to greater understanding of the diverse life and beauty of the city.
